Le théâtre Burgtheater

The Burgtheater is a theater of Vienna inaugurated in 1888. The building raised on the Ringstrasse by Karl von Hasenauer and Gottfried Semper combines elements of neobaroque and neo-renaissance.

By replacing the theatre of the court based, it becomes the scene of the most prestigious German-speaking countries. At the end of the last war, a bomb destroyed the main building, its restoration took ten years but was so a successfull that in 1955, at the reopening, it was difficult to recognize the new parts to the olders one.

The hotel Graf Stadion is named after the statesman and foreign minister Johann Philipp Graf Stadion Johann (1763-1824). It was built in 1824-1825 and is registered as an historic monument. The hotel offers an excellent situation in the historical and central district of "Josefstadt", within walking distance from the Rathaus and the famous Ringstrasse.
